UNDERSTANDING LIFE EXPERIENCES-
A TRAUMA INFORMED PERSPECTIVE

When most people hear “trauma” they think of extreme events. Violence. Accidents. Catastrophe.

But trauma is often quieter than that. It’s the things that happened — and the things that never did. The moments you weren’t seen. The emotions you learned to shut down. The relationships that shaped how you see yourself.

Trauma lives in the body long after the mind has moved on.

What it can look like

You might not call it trauma. You might just call it the way you are.

Tension you carry everywhere. Reactions that feel too big — or nothing at all. Difficulty trusting yourself or others. A sense of disconnection from your own body and feelings. Patterns you can’t seem to break no matter how much you understand them.

Sound familiar?

Experiences that leave a mark

Feeling unsafe, unseen or unheard as a child. Emotional neglect or abandonment. Chronic stress in work, family or relationships. Heartbreak, betrayal, loss. Major life transitions. Any moment that left you feeling disconnected from yourself.

None of these need to be “big enough” to count. If it affected you, it matters.

What trauma-informed means in our sessions

It means your pace comes first. Always.

It means we don’t push, force, or rush. We follow what your body and nervous system can hold — and we work with that, not against it.

It means you’re in control of what we explore and how deep we go.

And it means I’ve done enough of my own work to sit with yours — without flinching.

You are not your history. But your history is worth understanding — and releasing.

Find your peace. Find your joy. Feel Alive.
